- Siding and Trim

A typed 20-40 page comprehensive report is provided within 24 hours of the home inspection with pictures of problems along with recommendations to resolve the issues. For even further targeted review, consider bundling this home assessment with our specialty inspections.
*Inspectors will walk the roof on a case by case basis depending on the pitch and access conditions. If inspectors are not able to physically walk on the roof, they will inspect from the ground using binoculars and from within the attic.
In addition to the standard home inspection included at no
charge are the following services:
A pest inspection involves a full inspection of your home for any evidence of wood destroying organisms and/or evidence of dry rot damage, or moisture conditions that could lead to an atmosphere for wood destroying organisms or termites. This means that a pest inspector would inspect the exterior of your home including all the trim, home siding, under roof eaves, etc.
In addition to Boggs’s environmental inspections, infrared scans offer a way to observe things that cannot be detected with the naked eye. In case any findings during the home inspection need investigating further, all Boggs inspectors are equipped with an infrared camera.
When will my inspector use an infrared camera?
- Scanning the main electric panel for overheating breakers or wires
- Check for the accuracy of the heating system
- If further investigating is needed Boggs will check for the following
- Looking at the upper-level ceilings for roof leakage
- Evaluating the unknown source of leaks from walls or plumbing
- Detecting air leaks
A scan is a great launching point to discover ways to increase efficiency in your home.
Luxury Home Specialists
Boggs uses the team approach to ensure that larger homes can be broken down into manageable pieces. Due to the sheer magnitude of these types of properties and the extent to which they are customized, the need for an inspection by a team of luxury home specialists is imperative. Large estate homes can pose a serious challenge to an inspector who does not encounter these unique system designs on a daily basis.
Our extensive experience inspecting large commercial buildings uniquely qualifies us to inspect even the largest of homes with ease. Some may believe that if a licensed inspector knows how to inspect an average, typical home that they are also capable of inspecting any type, size, or age of the property. This can be a costly misconception.
It is important to choose an inspector whose skill set matches the complexity of the home. Systems commonly found in estate homes are typically more complicated than most inspectors are capable of handling.
New Construction Inspections
What types of problems will my inspector find?
- Damaged, Moldy, or Improperly Cut Lumber
- Improper Supports
- Improper Protection for Pipes and Wires
- Improper Air Seal of Heating System
- Improper Fire Wall Protection
- Inadequately secured or damaged ductwork
- Foundation Damage
- Defective or Missing Materials
- Potential Water Intrusion Areas
