2026: We just hired Boggs again, and they were just as thorough as the first time! Two inspectors spent three hours going over the property with a fine-toothed comb, explaining everything to us, and when I couldn't something we'd discussed in the final report (which arrived the next morning!) they called me back very promptly and told me where to find it (it was on a tab I'd missed.) Then, when we followed up for a roofing estimate they recommended, the roofer said "Oh, Boggs? They're fantastic. I use them, too."

Worth every penny and then some. Hopefully this will be our last attempt, but if it isn't, we'll go back to Boggs every time.

Review from 2023:
Boggs was at the house working when we arrived. They went over every inch of the log cabin, identifying ONE log with some fungus in one end. Hubby is a wood worker, but didn't see it until the inspector pointed it out, and it didn't look "that bad". After spending several hours on the inspection they asked if we still wanted to proceed with septic scoping and well testing, waited while we talked it over, and then completed those tests too.

Because they identified 18" of rotten log on a three story home, we were able to get an estimate and determine the repair (along with a number of other items we'd have missed) were a no-go on this house. While we're sorry to have burned $1333, the inspection was worth every penny.

We're still looking for a house, but we're not looking for an inspector any more. Boggs will inspect every house until we find "the one."
